An exciting new journey lies ahead…
A very belated Happy New Year to you all!
I have been utterly lax at keeping my website (and blog) up-to-date, so here I am, vowing to post a little more regularly from now on… and, with some really wonderful news: I am officially an indie author 🙂

As some of you may know, my first three novels were published by the brilliant Crooked Cat. However, to cut a long story short, CC no longer exists in its original form and that meant many of us romance authors needed to find new homes. After the usual round of submissions to agents and digi publishers (and the usual replies ‘we love your writing but we aren’t sure how to market your books’ (sigh), I decided to embrace indie and stop banging my head against a brick wall.
I am so glad I did. It’s such a liberating feeling to no longer be in limbo or to be sitting on my laurels awaiting the verdict of the gatekeepers. It’s also amazing to take the creative reins and steam ahead with my own plans… Rest assured, I work with a fabulous editor who makes sure the stories shine and I don’t get too carried away, LOL.

Now that all of the rights have reverted to me for my trio of novels, I have reordered my titles in the Foodie Romance Journeys series, updated their covers, made their insides a little more sparkly… and I am ready to GO.
There’s a very steep learning curve ahead of me. I’ve just started a highly recommended Ads for Authors course, courtesy of Mark Dawson (and thanks to the recommendation by a number of successful self-published friends). I have joined TikTok too – much to my kids’ embarrassment. And in June I will be heading to Madrid for a self-publishing conference.
Thanking you all for supporting me thus far and here’s to a great bookish year for everyone!
